The Spring/Summer 2025 edition of the GLCC newsletter, UNiTY, is out now.
The lead story concerns the recent publication of our ‘position statement’ on research into lung cancer worldwide, outlining our concerns. Factors such as the Covid pandemic and wars in several regions worldwide have had a severe and long-lasting impact on the amount and types of research now being conducted. The GLCC recognises this and urges policymakers to address this worrying development.
Somewhat more encouraging are the trends revealed by our latest Patient Experience survey – we’ve a full report on page 3.
Elsewhere, we hear from our member Merel Hennink of Longkanker Nederland discussing how important it is that patients are involved in all aspects of their care pathways – that’s on page 5.
And we turn the focus on our Excellence in Journalism and Special Recognition Awards. We would urge all member organisations to consider nominations for these awards – full details of the criteria can found in this article on page 3.
